Closed Captioning on Devices

 

Follow the below instructions to adjust closed captioning on and off. 

 

ROKU: 

 

To navigate to the closed captioning feature, you must have the Newsmax+ Live steam open and playing. 

 

1. While watching Newsmax+ Live, press the asterisk button on your remote and the closed captioning option will appear. 

2. In the menu, underneath the closed captioning option, change the selection to “OFF” to turn off closed caption. To turn ON closed captioning, change the selection to “ON Always”. 

 

Fire TV (stick, Cube, TV):

 

To navigate to the closed captioning feature, you must have the Newsmax+ Live steam open and playing.

 

1. When on the Newsmax App home screen, press the left button on your Firestick remote to pull up the menu. 

2. On the menu, click on “TV Live” and then select Newsmax Live. 

3. While watching Newsmax+ Live, press the down button on your remote and a menu will appear. 

4. In the menu, scroll to the right and select “Audio and Subtitles.” 

5. To turn OFF closed captions select “None.” To turn ON closed captions select “ENGLISH.”

 

 

Note: If you are watching Newsmax+ Live and do not see the Audio and Subtitle icon, click on “Next Channel” which will bring you to N2, then click on “Previous Channel” which will bring you back to Newsmax Live. Then press the down button on your remote and a menu will appear. Scroll to the right and select “Audio and Subtitles.” To turn OFF closed captions select “None.” To turn ON closed captions select “ENGLISH.”

 

 

Apple, Android, and Other Mobile Devices:  

 

To navigate to the closed captioning feature, you must have the Newsmax+ Live steam open and playing.

 

1. While watching the Newsmax+ live stream, click on the screen and a menu will appear at the bottom. 

2. Select “Audio and Subtitles” from the menu at the bottom. 

3. To turn the closed captions off, select “NONE.” To turn closed captions on, select “ENG.”
